1. What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address and a display name. When you post a sighting, we store the store location you chose, the product, and the time. We also receive your device's approximate location only when you grant permission, to show nearby sightings on the map.
2. How we use it
Your data powers the map, your watchlists, your alerts, and the leaderboard. Your email is used for account access and essential service notifications. We never sell your data to third parties.
3. What others can see
Your display name, Sniper Points, rank, achievements, and sighting history are visible on your public profile. Your email address and exact device location are never shown to other users.
4. Camera and photos
If you choose to upload a profile photo or attach an image to a sighting, we process and compress that image on your device before uploading it to our servers. Photos are only stored for the purpose they were submitted for.
5. Payments
Stock Sniper Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status (active or inactive) but never see or store your full card details — Stripe handles all payment information securely.
6. Advertising
Stock Sniper may show clearly labelled sponsored store placements. We do not currently use an advertising ID or personalised mobile advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy before the feature is released. Stock Sniper Pro subscribers can hide sponsored store pins.
7. Data retention
Sightings automatically expire after 3 hours of no new confirmations. Your account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
8. Children
Stock Sniper is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
